Cookie Policy
A complete, accurate list of every cookie and browser storage entry used on the Future platform.
Last updated: April 14, 2026
1. Our Approach to Cookies
Future uses a minimal set of cookies and browser storage entries. We have no advertising cookies and no data selling. Optional analytics (Microsoft Clarity) are only activated when you explicitly consent via the Cookie Settings panel. Every entry listed on this page reflects what is actually used — not a generic template.
Most of our storage is in localStorage rather than HTTP cookies, because the application is a single-page React app and does not require server-side cookie reading for most functionality. The authentication layer (Supabase) manages session tokens in localStorage.
2. Strictly Necessary
These entries are essential for the platform to function. They handle authentication, session security, and consent storage. They cannot be disabled — without them, you cannot sign in or use the platform.
3. Functional
These entries improve your experience by remembering your UI preferences. One entry involves an external network request to Google Fonts CDN to load the Geist Mono typeface. No tracking cookie is set by Google Fonts, but your IP address may be logged by Google's servers.
You can decline functional cookies using the Cookie Settings panel. Note that declining will not affect your ability to sign in or use core features.
4. Analytics & Session Recording — Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to collect anonymised session recordings, scroll maps, and click heatmaps. This helps us identify usability issues and improve the platform experience. Clarity is a Microsoft service operating under Microsoft's privacy practices.
Clarity is consent-gated — it is only loaded and activated after you have explicitly accepted the Analytics category in the Cookie Settings panel. If you decline, no Clarity scripts are loaded and no data is collected. You can change this preference at any time.
Clarity's automatic masking is enabled: input fields, passwords, and sensitive content are automatically obscured in session recordings. No personally identifiable information (name, email, passwords) is ever transmitted to Clarity.
For more information, see Microsoft's Privacy Statement and the Clarity Terms of Service.
5. Advertising — Not Used
Future does not display advertisements and does not use any advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not share user data with ad networks or data brokers.
6. Third-Party Services
The third-party connections the platform may make from your browser are:
- —Supabase (supabase.co) — Database, authentication, and edge functions. All data processing is governed by Supabase's GDPR-compliant infrastructure. Your data never leaves the Supabase environment.
- —Microsoft Clarity (clarity.ms / c.bing.com) — Session recording, heatmaps, and scroll analysis. Loaded only with analytics consent. Automatic input masking enabled. No advertising data collected.
- —Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com) — Typeface CDN. Loads the Geist Mono font. No tracking cookies. Google may log your IP address per their Privacy Policy.
- —Cloudflare CDN (cdnjs) (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — Serves the Remix Icon icon font library. Static asset delivery only — no tracking.
7. Managing Preferences
You can review and change your cookie preferences at any time using the Cookie Settings button on the right side of any page. You can also manage browser storage directly via your browser's developer tools:
- —Chrome — DevTools (F12) → Application → Local Storage
- —Firefox — DevTools (F12) → Storage → Local Storage
- —Safari — Develop → Storage → Local Storage
- —Edge — DevTools (F12) → Application → Local Storage
8. Changes to This Policy
If we add new cookies or storage entries, this page will be updated before they are deployed. Significant changes to third-party connections will trigger a consent refresh via the in-app banner.
